In 1999, i crocheted this hat in 100% hemp yarn. I designed this hat. I was influenced by the news that said that wide brimmed hats provide protection from the sun. This hat was too heavy for comfort and too flappy that got in the way of my eyes. I was getting ready to unravel the hat to reuse the yarn.
